Happy How-o-ween!

I didn't get as many pictures before we went trick-or-treating so I don't have many to post.  Here are the kids before heading out.  The lady bug is waving her arms everywhere so they look non existent.

This guy had the tv on and was very excited about the Rangers game that was starting soon.  He loved Eli's costume and I heard him mutter something about giving Eli all the candy so he could turn his light off and watch the game.

Family pic.  Eli isn't upset but it looks like he is and baby sister is very interested in his stash.  Can you believe this is the best shot we got? :)

Like I said, I didn't get very many pictures.  BUT.....I got a good amount of video!  I thought I would share for those that care.  The first house we went to looked a little scary, but we realized it a little late.  The guy answered the door with a scary mask on.  Luckly, when Eli started to lose it he took the mask off.  I just started yelling about candy so maybe Eli wouldn't cry and ruin my his Halloween. :)  I guess maybe it isn't really a holiday unless someone meltsdown, right?

As Eli would say...."Happy How-o-ween!"

Fall Festival

Both kids had a great time at the fall festival at our church last week.  Well, Eli had fun...Jillian was pretty much just along for the ride.  She looked so cute in her lady bug costume and Eli was SO excited about his costume.  We practice telling people what he (as if you couldn't tell) so he went around all night saying, "I a baseball player!"  So cute.

We took some pictures before we left.  Eli has decided lately that he doesn't really want to have his picture taken so I was very excited when he started showing off.  :)

Eli says "Cheese!"

All smiles!

Eli had a blast at the petting zoo!  He ran around to all the animals so fast I had a hard time keeping up with him!  Since I couldn't say ahead of him, most of these pictures are of his back.

There were lots of goats.  Eli fed some of them but I wasn't fast enough to get any pictures of that.

Eli kept trying to catch the ducks.  I think he eventually got to touch the back of one in the second picture.  They were actually very loud and slightly agressive.  All the quacking scared Jillian who was in the stroller.

He tried hard but couldn't get the horse (pony?) to come over.

Eli had fun with this little maze.  When he got to the end, he turned around so he could go back out the start.  He was shocked that he got to get a piece of candy!

Candy AND a cookie???  What a deal!

Of course the bounce house is always a favorite.  We were there pretty early so there weren't many kids in this small one.  Eli didn't want to come out.  I almost had to go in after him.  I decided he didn't need to do any of the other bounce houses. :)

Grandpa and the little lady bug!

Eli loved the throwing games.  This one was a little diffficult because they had toy bones to throw into the small whole in Clifford's house.

This bean bag toss was more Eli's style.  He put his own spin on the game by throwing all three bean bags in the same bucket, instead of seperating them into the color coded buckets.  Genius!   lol

This was by far Eli's favorite game!  We didn't see it when we first arrived so there was quite a line when we came back around to it, but I'm sure he thought it was worth it.  The nice man (boy?) gave Eli the bat and made him stand where the other kids stood to bat.  Eli put the bat on his left shoulder and got ready to hit the ball.  The man tried to get him to switch shoulders but Eli didn't want to.  I had to clue the guy in...Eli is a lefty!!  :)  He hit all the balls and didn't want to give the bat up, but getting candy helped ease his pain.

Friday Fun Day!

We had so much fun playing and eating our picnic lunch at Celebration Park on Friday! (thanks for organizing A)  Eli ran all over the place and couldn't decide what to do first.  It was a little hard to keep up with him while having Jillian in the stroller.  This is more of a two parent park.  lol
Eli is a sliding fool!

Climbing was the game of the day.  It always makes us nervous to let him climb things on his own, but he was a champ on Friday.

Eli, Evan, and Jon

Climbing again

More climbing!  This one made Mommy VERY nervous, so I helped him up the rest of the way.

Didn't I tell you this was the theme?

My child with no fear was brave enough to go on this slide.  I was happy it was enclosed. :)  He usually goes down slides head first (what a rebel!)  This is what he looked like when he came out.  I heard his little shoes flopping around all the way down.

This was his face when he came out.  I guess he got thrown around a bit.  Notice the static hair.  lol

The boys decided they couldn't leave without playing in the water.

When it came down to it, Eli didn't really want to get in the water.  He just wanted to run around the outside of it.  What a silly boy!

Eli, Nate, and little Hailey.

*Sorry we didn't get any pics with the Johnson or Copeland kids!  Next time!

6 Months!

It is so hard to believe that our baby girl is 6 months old already!  She is doing so many fun things and we are seeing so much of her little personality these days.

Jillian loves to play in her exersaucer and jumperoo.  She puts EVERYTHING in her mouth.  We put her on the floor to play with her toys and she ends up across the room!  She rolls and scoots all over the place.  Sometimes she gets a little frustrated if she is on her stomach too long, and even though she knows how to roll onto her back she often cries until we give her a little help.  She still loves to be held and rocked.

J loves to be tickled and will often give you a big belly laugh!  She giggles at mommy and daddy all the time but big brother is the funniest of all!  All he has to do is run over to her and she squeals!  She still loves to be talked and sung to, and is becoming quite the talker herself!

She has started rice cereal and loves it!  We only do one feeding a day but will start two soon.  We have tried green beans and squash but she isn't thrilled about either.  Still no teeth yet but I'm not complaining! :)  They will come soon enough!

Baby girl usually sleeps well and only wakes up if she needs her pacifier.  Since I've been staying home we have been trying to get on a better nap schedule but she isn't much of a napper.  She takes 3-4 short naps a day (usually 20 minutes - 1 hour.)  That makes it hard to get anything done but she is always happy after a nap, even a short one, so I figure she is getting the sleep she needs.

Happy Halfy Birthday baby girl!  We love you!
