Memorial Day Fun

For Memorial Day we went to Stephen's friend Matt's new house (and what a beautiful house it is!) :) The guys cooked great hamburgers and hotdogs while the ladies gabbed in the house. A great time was had by all!
The guys! The gals!

Matt being a great host!

The guys playing bocce ball. I don't understand the thrill of this game but they seem to love it.

The guys being silly.

Stephen and I enjoying the last few weeks before parenthood.

The Chair

A couple of weeks ago we bought a glider for the nursery. It was supposed to take 4-6 weeks to come in but it came early! Yea! Stephen surprised me with it today. He had to get our friend Brett to help him bring it home since we don't have a truck. I am absolutely in love with it! Since we were so blessed to get the rest of the nursery furniture from a friend for free, we were very excited to pick out the chair ourselves. I was a little nervous about how it was going to look in the room once we got it there but I think it looks good. I feel like stripes are always a gamble. Anyway, we are hoping this will work for a boy or a girl since we don't know what we are having.

Brett and Stephen putting the chair together!

Still putting the chair together and getting caught off guard by the camera! :)

Finished product!

The nursery...so far. We are pretty much done with everything we can do before the baby comes since we don't know if we should be buying pink or blue. It looks so bare without window coverings, rugs or anything on the walls but I guess I will have to live with that for now.

Long Baby!

I had another doctor appointment this week. Surprisingly, she wanted me to have another sonogram to track the size of the baby. Everything looked really good. They always tell me the femur looks long. I was 28 weeks and 2 days and they said the femur measured 30 weeks and 4 days. It will be interesting to see how long the baby actually is. Here are the pics. In the second and third picture you can see the foot is up by the head! What a flexible baby! No wonder I feel like the baby is in a kick boxing class! Profile of Baby Davis!

Baby is now looking at the camera and has his/her foot up by it's head!

Profile again with a foot by the nose. So cute!

Rocky Start

So I have finally broken down and started a blog. I don't really think I'm going to have very much time for this and I know my life is not interesting enough...at least not yet. I'm hoping that once the baby is here this will be a great way for out of town family and friends to see pictures and keep up with events going on in our lives. Hopefully I will be a faithful blogger and I will try to be as interesting as possible. :)
