Lady Antebellum

A couple of weeks ago my sister and I went to the Lady Antebellum concert.  In a word, it was AWESOME!  We love their music (sister is borderline obsessive!) and got to be in the inner circle during the concert (a cut out area in the middle of the stage!)  We had so much fun and everyone in the band came by and shock our hands!  I definitely felt half my age for the night. :)
(excuse the photo quality...only point and shoots allowed!)

Thompson Square

Chick from Thompson square (no, I don't know her name) who is married to guy from Thompson Square below (nope, don't know his name either!)

Darius Rucker.  I don't really like him that much but somehow I have managed to see him as the opener several times.  Everyone really like it when he sings his Hootie & the Blowfish stuff, but doesn't care as much about his new country songs.

After the opening acts, we left the front row and went to the inner circle.  This is our view looking out at the arena.

Opening song...Lady A standing up behind us.

Out on the catwalk.

Charles about to come down the stairs right beside us.

Piano coming up out of the floor.

Dave touching our hands.  See my sisters blond hair and pink nails?? :)

Charles throwing his sweaty towel.  Does it make me old if I think this is gross?

After the concert.  See you next time Lady A!

I Heart Faces: Beautiful B&W

The theme this week over at I Heart Faces is Beautiful B&W.  I took this of our sweet friend Avery at the Arboretum this week.  Can a two year old be stunning??  I love that her face is painted too!  I was telling her mommy that I wish my kids would sit this nicely for a picture. :)

Join the fun here.

Valentine's Day

The kids on Valentine's morning before school.  Neither of them wanted their picture taken.

The day before I made mini red velvet cupcakes and let the kids decorate them.
(Note: both kids were getting sick so they are a little puny looking.)

Eli LOVED it!  Well, mostly he loved eating them, but he liked putting icing, m&m's and sprinkles on them too.

Jillian liked the m&m's, but didn't want to eat (or touch) the icing or cupcakes.  I tried to help her some but she still didn't want to eat the cupcakes.  She was in a better mood though so she smiled for the camera. :)

Finally got her to take a bite (ONE bite.)

My boy with his messy face!  So cute!

Baby Hadley

I was so excited to be able to attend a beautiful shower for baby Stephens on Saturday.

Everything was so gorgeous I couldn't resist taking a few pictures!

Don't you just love tulips??  They are my favorite!  I bet baby Hadley will love them too!

Precious banner made my Hadley's aunt!  The Reed girls are so talented!!

Mommy-to-be (for the second time!)  Isn't she beautiful?  Hadley Elizabeth with join big brother Dean in April!

Somehow I didn't get a single picture of the cute outfits, bows, burp cloths, blankets, and booties given to Hadley.  All the sweet, tiny onesies and dresses gave me major baby fever!!  Guess I will settle for these cute chocolate covered pretzel favors! :)  Can't wait to meet this precious girl!

Basketball

Eli started a small fry basketball team a few weeks ago and Daddy is coaching.

He loves practice when he has his own ball and gets to shoot endlessly.

The coach giving instructions.

Dribbling drill.

Shooting during the game.

He doesn't seem to like the game as much as practice.  He also doesn't seem to care about trying to get the ball during the game.  He just runs back and forth with the crowd of kids until someone gives him the ball.  He is a tad spacey but we are working on it.  He is only three but wearing Dirk's number...we have hope. :)
