Christmas

We had a wonderful (and busy) Christmas! We were very lucky that we didn't have to travel this year. We had a great morning with just me, Stephen and Eli. Stephen's family came over later that morning and my family got here that night. It was great having everyone at our house and even though Eli didn't realize what was going on, he enjoyed seeing his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins! We had such fun with our families! Here are pics from the past few days!

5 Months!

Our little man is 5 months old already! Seems like yesterday we were telling our family and friends that we were pregnant and that was already a year ago! He is doing so many new things! I'm having a hard time keeping up with his baby book. Eli is so curious about the world around him. When I take him to the store or a restaurant, he is constantly looking around at all the people, lights, etc. He has finally started to sleep through the night (about half the time) and is developing such a little personality! When people give him attention, he turns to me and giggles like he is shy...SO cute! He is rolling all over the place and sometimes manages to scoot himself a few inches. He can also "sit on all fours" which the doctor said he should be doing by six months so he is ahead of schedule! He loves rice cereal, green beans, sweet potatoes, and peaches. He didn't like bananas or peas on the first try, but we will keep at it. :)

VERY unofficial stats: (taken at home with a very squirmy baby)
Weight: 18 lbs.
Height: 28 inches

Eli has also become very interested in Pita. He watches her walk around and tries to grab her as she passes by. Pita is just as in love with Eli. As you can see from this picture, Eli is trying to put Pita in his mouth, which is what he does with everything! Wonder if those teeth are ever going to come in?? :)

Anniversary!

Four years ago today I married the man of my dreams! The time has flown by and I love him more everyday. We have so much fun together. He is the BEST husband in the world and I am so blessed and honored to be his wife! I love you Stephen!
My wonderful husband sent me these amazing roses yesterday! Isn't he great?

Visit with Santa!

While visiting my parents over Thanksgiving, we took Eli to see Santa! They opened at 11am and we didn't get there until a little after 12pm but there was NO line! Santa was so nice. Eli didn't ever really smile, but he didn't cry either and that was my only goal!
This was taken with my parents camera. We were waiting for him to smile.

This is the official picture. His pants are actually too long for him...a first! This is what I get for rolling them up. :)

Thanksgiving

We packed up and went to see my family for Thanksgiving. Eli was really good in the car...the trip just ends up being about an hour too long for him though. :) We had a great time visiting, eating, and shopping! Here are the pics from the trip. Mommy and her little turkey!

Yea food!

A couple of weeks ago Eli had rice cereal for the first time! He isn't fond of the high chair so I wasn't sure how this would go.

Waiting patiently!

First taste!

Already opening his mouth for the next bite!

He ate so well!

This pic is kind of blurry but you get the idea. He was a happy camper!

He has since also tried applesauce and on Thanksgiving Eli had sweet potatoes. He is doing pretty well trying new things. Our little boy is growing up!

4 Months!

Our little baby is getting to be such a big boy! I know I say this every month but I just can't believe how time is flying by!! Eli is learning so many new things. He is rolling from his back to is stomach and recently found his feet! He grabs them and tries to put them in his mouth. Funny boy! :) He has lots of conversations with Mommy and Daddy and loves to stand up (with help of course.) A lot has happened this month. Eli had his first babysitter (thanks Aunt Liz!), was a pumpkin for Halloween, visited a pumpkin patch, went to 2 Baylor football games, and had his first really long car ride to see the grandparents. We can't wait to see what the next month brings!

4 Month Stats:
