First Day!

Today was our first day at home!  Eli is has a terrible allergy nose so we just laid low today.  I decided to take as many pictures of our day as possible.  So here's what we did today!

We started early with a bang.  Just in case you were wondering, Eli doesn't just wake up this way.  It is his "happy face."

We had breakfast.  Eli insisted on the animal crackers.  *sigh*

We played musical instruments.  Eli chose the wisk and wooden spoon himself!

We sat in time out before we were even out of our pj's.  Also called the doctor about Eli's allergies and changed three dirty diapers before 9am. :)

We read lots of books.

We played together!

We ate lunch!  ("happy face" again)

We kept up with the dishes!!!!!!!!!  Can I get an Amen????  :)

We got in our car seats...

So we could run errands!

Hubby sent me the most beautiful "Happy First Day At Home" flowers.  Isn't he the best?!?!

Before Daddy came home, we took a bath.  Just for fun.

We had a great first day at home and are excited about day two!  We feel so blessed that I am able to stay home with the kids right now.  Hoping for many more good days ahead!

Last Day

Today was my last day.

My last day in the "working" world.

My last day to drive 45 minutes each way.

My last day to have to wake up my babies in the morning.

My last day with my sweet coworkers...love those girls!

My last day to make people happy with chicken.

My last day to only see my babies for 90 minutes at night before they have to go to bed.

My last day to carry around two cell phones (one work, one personal.)

My last day to pay someone else do the job I was meant to do.

My last day be a part of helping someone plan a special event.

My last day to get paid to do a job I love.

But tomorrow is my first day.  :)

Bears & Chicken

Saturday night Daddy went down to Waco for the Baylor game but the kids and I decided to stay behind and cheer on the Bears from home.

By dinner time we needed to get out of the house so we went to the only logical place...Chick-fil-a! :)
Eli  waited patiently for his food.

Yummy chicken and fruit!

Who decided it was a great idea to put wheels on the bottom of high chairs??  Eli always ends up half way across the restaurant after using his feet to push himself away from the table.  He thinks it is funny to roll backwards.

Eli recognizes Chick-fil-a when we pull up and says "chicken and playground!"  There were only two other kids playing last night but both were too old to be in there.  They were yelling really loud and scaring both Eli and Jillian so we didn't play long.

Eli ended his night with some icecream...

and baby sister ended her night with a bath.

5 Months

Our Jillian is five months old today and we are having so much fun with her!  She is developing quite the little personality.  She loves for Mommy and Daddy to talk to her, but big brother is her favorite!  She just laughs and giggles at Eli all the time.  Eli really likes to help Mommy out by giving baby sister her pacifier or blanket.

Jillian is eating 6-7oz. every 3 hours and sleeping pretty good at night.  She just moved up to size 3 diapers and is wearing 6 month clothes.  No teeth yet but she drools through a couple of bibs a day so I'm guessing they are on their way!

For the most part she is a happy girl.  Unless she is really tired or hungry, she doesn't really cry and she is especially good if you are holding her.  She still LOVES to be rocked, which works out well for me because I'm not sure I'll ever get tired of rocking her.  I love having a cuddle bug since Eli was Mr. Independent from day one.

Jillian is still doing great at day care, but I hope she likes being at home too because I'm going to become a SAHM in a week and a half!!  I'm praying that the transition to being at home every day comes easy and that she can stay on a decent schedule.

Conversations with Eli

We have a fairly chatty toddler at our house.  Sometimes he says funny things.  I'm going to try to post some  here so I can remember all our funny conversations and tell him one day.

So here it goes...

Mommy (yelling to Daddy in the other room): "Hey Babe?  Can you come here for a minute?"
Eli (also yelling): "Babe?  Babe?  Hey Babe?"
Mommy:  "Eli, who is Babe?"
Eli:  "Daddy."

Hmm...smart cookie! :)
