New Toy

Daddy bought Jillian a new toy!  She loves her new exersaucer, but Eli might like it more.  He loves to show her how to play with all the toys on it.

Her legs don't even touch the ground yet!

She's lovin' those fingers!

Fun with Friends!

Jillian had a few friends over this weekend!  Of course, we got some great pics of the BFF's!

Jillian Jane & Avery Grace - What beautiful girls!!

Happy face!

 The girls...just chillin

The mommy's decided it was time to add Mr. Dean to the mix!  The girls loved having such a handsome and mature playmate!  (he is older by 3.5 weeks!)  :)

Sister has had some fun with brother lately, too!  He likes to play with her bows.

Jillian isn't too sure why she is stuffed next to her brother on his changing table.

Jaguars & Monkeys & Fish...Oh My!

We took Eli to the Dallas World Aquarium last week and had a great time! The humidity was terrible but at least it was all indoors. We took Eli out of the stroller almost immediately because he really couldn't see anything while sitting in it. The combination of hundreds of day camp kids and Eli not wanting to hold our hands made for an interesting morning but he stayed pretty close and we only lost him once.

Just kidding. :)

Eli checking out the orange monkey

Eli feeding the bird a blueberry.  I think he was tempted to eat it himself.

Aligators!

Eli and the Jaguar

Snake!  I didn't really want to get close.  Eli had no idea he should be afraid of it.

Fish!

Mommy and Eli

Eli and a shark!  They were swimming overhead.

A very large Manatee

Penguins!  They were swimming all over and Eli loved it!

Did I mention that the aquarium is very confusing to navigate? It didn't matter what exhibit we were in, somehow we always seemed to be going against the traffic. We also had a hard time figuring out how to get out of that place. Stephen was DONE...

Happy Birthday Eli!

Eli turned 2-years-old and we had a little western party to celebrate! Here is my big boy in his birthday shirt!

This is what happens when you have girl cousins! :)

Saying "cheese!"

He actually blew out his candle!!

Silly boy doesn't really like to get messy, so he started out using his fork.
He decided this was faster.

Yummy!
Last but not least, gotta throw one in of baby sister. :)

2 Years Old!

Two years ago today, Elijah Walker Davis was born at 6:42 pm and our lives changed forever! We have had so much fun being his parents the past two years and can't wait to see what the future holds for him!
7.18.08
7.18.09
7.18.10
So what is 2-year-old Eli like?

He is ALL BOY!!! He just loves to run, jump, climb, and in general do anything dangerous. He really isn't afraid of anything.

Every parent thinks their child is brilliant and we are no exception! Eli is such a smart little boy! He can say and recognize numbers 1-10, all the letters, and knows most of the sounds the letters make. He also knows his right and left hand, his colors, and can recognize pictures of weather (sunny, windy, rainy, snowy, etc.)

Eli is so playful and energetic! He loves to do anything outside.Eli loves going to the park or the pool. He is a huge sports fan...shocker! He is really into baseball right now and is so cute when he winds up pitch us the ball. He does just like MLB players and looks around first before throwing the pitch! It is so funny what he has picked up on just by watching it on TV with Daddy.

We can already tell that music is going to play a big part in Eli's life! He loves to sing, dance, and play the drums (just like Daddy and Papa!) When we are in the car he claps and cheers at the end of a song. Some of his favorite songs are: Itsy Bitsy Spider, ABC's, Head & Shoulders, Knees & Toes, This Little Light of Mine, Jesus is the Rock, Jesus Loves Me, One Two Buckle My Shoe, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Five Little Monkeys, and many more!

He is getting along great with "baby sisters" and even tries to help out! He likes to give her toys and her paci, although sometimes he get distracted and steels them for himself! :)

2 Year Stats:
Height: 34 1/4 in. - 97% (dr. said he should be between 6'2 and 6'3)
Weight: 29lbs. 10 oz - 75%
