Look What I Can Do!!

Eli was great for Aunt Liz and Uncle Keith while we were gone! They had so much fun together and even made a DVD of Eli's week so we wouldn't miss a thing! He is learning how to do so many things right now. He has been able to get around for a while now but really put all the motions together and started crawling on Friday! He is also getting two teeth, holding his sippy cup on his own, and pulling up! Check out our extremely mobile little boy! *Warning: Lots of pics!*

Pulling up!!

Sic 'Em Bears!!

We'll be cheering on the Bears tonight as they go for the title of Big XII Champs!! Stephen couldn't sit still as we watched them beat Texas last night. He had to stifle his screams since we had a sleeping baby in the house. :) We are sorry we can't make it to the game in OKC but we'll be watching for the win here at home. Who's with us?
Also, Stephen has decided that our next son will be named Lacedarius Robert Griffin Davis. I'm not convinced yet.

Tell em Scott!

So close!!

Eli has all the movements down for crawling...just needs to put it all together! Here are a few videos of him creeping along. Yes, that is the remote control he is after. It is the one thing he desperately wants to get his hands on so it is the perfect bait!

Stephen and I are going to NYC with some friends next week while Eli spends the week at Aunt Liz and Uncle Keith's house. I just know he is going to get the hang of this while we are gone. :( Maybe Aunt Liz will get some pictures while we are away.

A boy and his dog

One morning last week before Stephen took Eli to school, I just had to get out the camera because our boy was being so sweet with his doggy. :) Of course, they have been in love with each other since we brought Eli home from the hospital on July 20th. But this particular morning as I was getting some pictures of Eli (I'm pretty obsessed with taking pictures, especially of my sweet boy) Pita jumped up on the couch, which she is extremely accustomed to doing, and practically sat on top of Eli. Stephen and I are used to Pita doing this with us. When it is possible, she will sit in between us and do her best to be touching both of us at the same time. She is always sniffing around Eli and licking him (don't judge...her tongue is probably cleaner than most of the stuff Eli puts in his MOUTH and it is just touching his cheek.) I just thought it was sweet that Pita wanted to be just as close to Eli even though he has been hitting her a lot on accident lately when she gets close (he gets too excited!)
Sweet boy, Sweet dog

Pita looks fierce in this picture, but she isn't. That's actually a yawn!

More excitement from Eli, another yawn from Pita.

Little Drummer Boy

Looks like our little drummer boy wants to be just like Daddy and Papa! He is so musical already! He loves to wiggle and dance to music, and is very good at moving the gadgets to make music play on his learn-n-groove table. Check out these videos and his drumming skills!

Bubba's Buddies!

Saturday we went down to Bubba's (one of the restaurants I manage caterings for) and had breakfast. This is a treat for us since it is a little bit of a drive and we never have time to go. We ran into one of my coworkers and she had her adorable son Greyson with her. We had so much fun taking pictures of the boys!Buddies!

You want us to do what for the camera?

Ohhhh.....SMILE! :)
(Eli included a bit of clapping as well)

7 1/2 months...almost

I admit, I'm falling behind on my monthly updates. Eli turned 7 months old about a week and a half ago. It came and went without a post. BUT...I have an excuse (this time.) The day after our boy turned 7 months old (Thursday), he got really sick. He started throwing up when I picked him up from day care so we took him to the after hours pediatrician. We were there for a LONG time, but he was feeling much better by the time we left. I don't think he is totally back to normal yet, but is doing much better. Stephen also got sick that night, which was his 28th birthday. Stephen felt better by Saturday night but then I got sick. What a weekend!Trying to sleep while waiting to see the doctor. What a nice waiting room! Robin Hood was playing on the huge TV's.
Mommy's sweet boy and his sad face. :(
