Seems like our sweet boy keeps getting bigger and bigger every day! He had his one year appointment a couple of weeks ago but I forgot to post about it. He got two shots...not very fun for him or Mommy...but he did great the rest of the time. He is walking all over the place, just went up to size 5 diapers, and only seems to want to get into things he is supposed to stay away from.
He loves to dance to music andterrorize play with Pita. He chases her around the house and laughs so hard as she runs away from him. But when Eli is calm, Pita will come over and lick his face! Eli can say "DaDa,"MaMa," and we are working on "Uh-Oh" (it comes out more like "Uh-Uh" right now, but he has said it when he drops things so he has the right idea!) If we ask him where is puppy Pita is or where his ball is he can find them. He still loves to be outside and we are hoping for some cooler weather so we can get him outside more often.
Eli has seven teeth now and is eating a lot of "big people" food, but he can't really decide what he likes and what he doesn't. He will love something one day and hate it the next. He has refused both spaghetti and hot dogs (I thought all kids loved those), but loves macaroni & cheese, grapes, blueberries, waffles, yogurt, peas, carrots, raisins, green beans, corn, cheese, turkey (sometimes), and any bread or cracker. Right after his birthday we switched him from formula to milk and he loves it! He also loves water and is doing great drinking out of his sippy cup (with the exception of a few dribbles.)
He is growing up so fast and I know the next year is going to fly by just like the first one did!
